All October, Historic C-Street trades its everyday charm for a little friendly spookiness as handmade scarecrows pop up along the brick sidewalks for the Octoberfest Scarecrow Stroll. Local businesses, artists, and neighbors build one-of-a-kind scarecrows, from scary to silly to downright dapper, turning the whole street into a free, self-guided walk you can enjoy all month long.

Join the formal kickoff on Friday, October 2 at 5:30 p.m. near 299 E. Commercial Street, then stroll at your own pace anytime through October. Judges will crown favorites for most scary, creative, funky, historic, diverse, cultural, dapper, and silly, so every block brings a new character to discover. Bring the family, grab a bite from a C-Street cafe, and make an afternoon of hunting down your favorites
