On the first Friday of every month, Historic Commercial Street becomes part of one of Springfield’s longest-running celebrations of local art. The First Friday Art Walk, presented by the Springfield Regional Arts Council for more than 20 years, now reaches from downtown up to C-Street, turning our historic storefronts, galleries, cafes, and gathering spaces into a free, self-guided tour of original art, live music, and Ozarks culture.

Explore at your own pace from 4:30 to 10 p.m. and step inside C-Street venues showing work by local and regional artists. The opening C-Street lineup featured C-Art Gallery, Eurasia Coffee Co., Upside Down Mercantile, The Coven Collective, The GLO Center, and Mumbles 1888, with more stops joining as the walk grows. Every space has its own personality, so each block brings something new: fresh exhibits, makers and musicians, and shops and restaurants open late.

Bring friends, bring the family, and make an evening of it on the bricks. Admission is always free, with no ticket or reservation required. Many venues keep their featured artwork up all month, so if you miss a Friday, there is still plenty to discover on C-Street.
