Spring is here, and C-Street is ready for a new season filled with shopping, events, music, creativity, and a few exciting changes along Historic Commercial Street.

One of the biggest additions on the way is One More Page, a new locally owned bookstore preparing to open on Commercial Street. Bookshelves are going in, the space is taking shape, and another new destination will soon be ready for visitors to discover.

Outside, C-Street is getting some spring attention too. The City of Springfield has refreshed mulch along Commercial Street and installed new public parking signs to make it easier for visitors to identify free parking throughout the area. The improvements also come as preparations continue for the upcoming Red, White & Bridge celebration, bringing classic cars, history, food, drinks, and live music to the district.

The spring calendar is filling up as well. The Great C-Street Easter Egg Hunt continues around the district, while Moon City Pub brings live music to the street nearly every weekend. Queen City Shout will also bring musicians, poets, dancers, filmmakers, and other performers to venues across Springfield, including C-Street locations Lindberg’s and Moon City Pub, while supporting poverty-relief efforts.

For those ready to get creative, Flora & Forge is offering a Spring Centerpiece Workshop where participants can create their own seasonal vase arrangement.

And spring is showing up inside C-Street’s shops too. From flowers and handcrafted goods to clothing, gifts, and seasonal finds, local businesses throughout the district are welcoming the new season.

There is plenty happening on C-Street, and spring is just getting started.
